Shady Grove Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization serving Woodville, Tyler County Texas. We are also contracted to Emergency Service District (ESD) #3. Shady Grove VFD has mutual aid agreements and provides support for Woodville, Chester, Colmesneil, Warren, Spurger, Fred, Dam B, White Tail Ridge, and Ivanhoe fire departments.
Our organization was founded in September of 2007 by dedicated community members. We have proudly served our community providing fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue, and first-responder services to Woodville and Tyler County Texas. Our first due response area is approximately 80 square miles just outside of Woodville, Texas. We also have a second due and mutual aid to other fire departments in Tyler County.
Shady Grove VFD’s call volume is constantly growing and new members are always welcomed to serve their community. We have over 20 active volunteer firefighters, trainees, and junior members. If you’re interested in joining, please fill out our online application.
